Installation Guide for Eurobox Sticker Sets
With our OctoVan sticker sets, you can easily customize your Eurobox yourself. To ensure a clean, durable, and as bubble-free result as possible, you should take some time for the installation and carefully prepare the box.
What you'll need
- OctoVan Sticker Set
- Included squeegee
- Scissors or utility knife
- Clean cloth / microfiber cloth
- Suitable cleaner or isopropanol
- Optional: Masking tape for positioning
- Heat gun - optional hair dryer on highest setting
1. Thoroughly clean the surface
Clean the adhesive surfaces with isopropanol, residue-free degreaser, or a suitable glass cleaner. It is important that no conditioning additives or residues remain on the surface.
Carefully clean the adhesive surfaces of the Eurobox. The surface must be dry, dust-free, and grease-free.
Remove dirt, silicone residue, oil, fingerprints, and other residues. The film can only adhere reliably to a clean surface.
Important:
Do not apply the film to damp, cold, or heavily soiled surfaces.
2. Align the stickers before applying
First, loosely place the stickers on the intended surfaces and check their position.
Ensure that the cutouts fit neatly into the smooth area of the Eurobox and do not extend over edges, ridges, or indentations.
Tip:
You can fix the sticker with some masking tape before peeling off the backing film.
3. Apply the film slowly
Peel off the backing film piece by piece and slowly apply the sticker to the surface.
It's best to work from one side to the other or from the center outwards. Press the film evenly with the squeegee.
This will help you avoid creases, air bubbles, and crooked edges.
4. Press down with the squeegee
Carefully smooth the film down with the squeegee.
Work with even pressure over the entire surface. You should press down particularly thoroughly on the edges and corners to prevent the film from lifting later.
5. Check the edges
After installation, check all edges and transitions.
If a corner lifts slightly, press it down firmly again. If necessary, you can carefully warm the area with some heat and then press it down again.
Caution:
Do not overheat. Too much heat can damage the film or the box.
6. Allow to rest after installation
After application, the box should ideally not be subjected to heavy loads, wet cleaned, or exposed to continuous moisture for 24 hours.
The adhesive strength continues to develop after installation and only reaches its full adhesion after 48 hours.
Durability notes
Our sticker sets are made from high-quality films and are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. However, durability always depends on the surface, cleaning, use, temperature, and stress.
For long durability, we recommend:
- no installation on dirty or greasy surfaces
- no aggressive cleaning immediately after application
- no harsh cleaners or abrasives
Can the film be removed again?
Yes, the film can be removed again if necessary. It is best to carefully warm it with a hair dryer and peel it off slowly.
Depending on the duration of use, temperature, surface, and film type, adhesive residues may occur.
Important
The sticker sets are precisely designed for the specified Eurobox size. Please check before ordering and before assembly whether your Eurobox corresponds to the specified dimensions and the appropriate design.
